Uilenvlei Private Nature Reserve

• The land has approximately 5Km of pristine tidal estuary running through its centre. A calcrete (limestone) ridge, from five to sixteen metres above sea level, overlooks the estuary, facing north and west.
• Twenty-five (Resort) platforms are planned on the ridge, with unobstructed views over the water.
• A design manual has been created, featuring modern, 175m2 fishermen’s cottages.
• The area is rich in fauna and flora and is ideal for bird watching, fly fishing and canoeing.
• Wildlife at Uilenvlei features 92 species of bird (including Blue Crane, Caspian Tern, Flamingo and Osprey) and 5 species of sea fish. Other wildlife includes Porcupines, Steenbok, Duiker, Coucal and plenty of Otters.
• Studies and reports completed: Birdlife, Botanical (Flora and Fauna), Hydro, Heritage, Flood Level, Water Tests, Visual Impact.
• Consent obtained from: Department of Agriculture (Local and National), Department of Water Affairs, Heritage Western Cape, Cape Nature, Provincial Roads Department, and adjoining properties.
• Consent from the Department of Environmental Affairs (Dead-P) in place.
• Nature Reserve has its own water, sewage plan, and plans not to be reliant on Eskom.
• Plots are all north and west facing with unobstructed views over the estuary.
• LUPO Application approved by Overstrand Municipality.
• Separate title land prices to be advised.
