Uilenvlei Private Nature Reserve
The land has approximately 5Km of pristine tidal estuary running through its centre.
A calcrete (limestone) ridge, from five to sixteen metres above sea level, overlooks
the estuary, facing north and west.
Twenty-five (Resort) platforms are planned on the ridge, with unobstructed views over the water.

The area is rich in fauna and flora and is ideal for bird watching, fly fishing and
canoeing.
Wildlife at Uilenvlei features 92 species of bird (including Blue Crane, Caspian
Tern, Flamingo and Osprey) and 5 species of sea fish. Other wildlife includes Porcupines,
Steenbok, Duiker, Coucal and plenty of Otters.
